You ship it, we stitch it!

Let us create a custom embroidery piece - made just for you on a vintage embroidery sewing machine. You must supply us with your own clothing item to purchase this listing. See notes and video below for more information about how to order.

How it works:
1. Pick your perfect clothing item or accessory.  We are currently accepting clothing items made of non-stretch denim, linen or cotton. This includes jackets, shirts, skirts, bandanas and tote bags. We are not currently accepting shorts or pants. If you have any confusion about choosing a clothing item don't hesitate to reach out using our Contact Form.

2. Choose your customization. Let us know the design or designs that are calling to you!  Place your order below, adding as many embroidery designs as you would like. If you order 2 of the same item (for example you put in your cart 2 quantities of the Rose Design) we will MIRROR the designs as shown in the mirrored image example). 

3. Request your design placement. Choose between the front or back of your clothing item. The exact placement is up to us, depending on the capabilities of our machine. We promise to make it look just right.

4. Ship us your clothing item. Once your order is complete we will send you a pre-paid shipping label. Simply package your item, place the label on and drop it off in the mail. If you're in the Boise area we offer free drop-off and pick-up at The Lost & Found on Vista Rd! Just choose "Pick Up" at checkout! See more info below.

5. We'll start stitching. Once we receive your clothing item we will resize the embroidery design(s) to best fit and compliment your piece. Each custom clothing item is cranked by hand on a vintage sewing embroidery machine. 

6. Receive your personalized clothing item. Because this piece is made to order please allow up to 2 weeks for stitching to occur before your item is shipped back to you.

How to choose your clothing item:
The biggest requirement for your clothing item or accessory it is that it doesn't have stretch to it. To find out if your clothing item is stretch or non-stretch do a quick pull-test. If the fabric is easy to pull apart and has a lot of "give" then it is too stretchy to be a good candidate for chainstitch embroidery. We are currently accepting jackets, shirts, skirts and tote bags. We are not currently accepting shorts or pants.

Why we use the ship and stitch model:
We want to create a customized piece you can treasure forever. We hope you send in some beloved clothing items to get a second life - your dad's old jacket from high school, your mom's cool linen vest from the 90's.... each piece we make tells a story through embroidered stitches. And because customized items can't be returned, the ship and stitch method is a great way to know for sure that your piece will fit beforehand and arrive more special than ever.

Boise Drop-off and Pickup:
Local drop-off and pickup is available at The Lost and Found on the bench near the Train Depot! Please drop off your clothing item in a bag with your name and order number written on a piece of paper. You will receive an email confirmation when your order is ready for pickup.

At Ferio we give a new life to old clothing. Each piece is cranked by hand on a 1930's chainstitch sewing machine. Because of this each piece is 100% unique and will have minor "imperfections." These imperfections are what make each piece special. By sending in your clothing item you are giving us permission to add chainstitch embroidery onto it and letting us size the patterns and stitch it as we see fit.
